Description. WordPress offers filter hooks to allow plugins to modify various types of internal data at runtime. A plugin can modify data by binding a callback to a filter hook. When the filter is later applied, each bound callback is run in order of priority, and given the opportunity to modify a value by returning a new value. The class-walker-nav-menu-edit.php is lack for a simple action hook that let authors add their own fields to the admin menu. In the last week I found 4 different users complaining their plugins/themes are not compatible ( Ubermenu, Geotargeting Pro, Salient theme and another theme I can't remember) because every of them are replacing the whole walker.comment.php loads the new files, so this is 100% BC if someone is loading comment.php directly.
